Facebook Addiction

                                         Do you think you are a Facebook addict?

Facebook had been labelled as a "cyber drug" which is making millions addicted. Take a check and see for yourself, if you are an addict. Here are a few symptoms or signs of Facebook addiction:

1. When you are ready to put off important work or use your study time to browse through Facebook and go through the photos that have been uploaded by various friends and family.

2. When you have access to the internet on your mobile phones and you always tend to visit the Facebook page at least once a day. You are always craving to know what is new on you profile.

3. You tend to have a rift or an argument with your partner or significant other about comments they have made on facebook.

4. You are on a rat race to add more friends to your list and always looking to add people.

5. You tend to get frustrated if you do not find a person you are looking for on Facebook.

6. You tend to check your profile at least 3 times a day. You need to know the latest as soon as you wake up in the morning, you will be browsing through this site whenever you are free and you will definitely check it once more before you retire for bed.

7. You will update your status at least 3 times a day. You will make sure the whole world knows what is happening with you. You will upload any photo you click. You will drown in your sorrows through Facebook and share all your good times too. Facebook is your life.

8. Over the months of facebook usage, you now require more time to get the same satisfaction levels.

9. You spend lot of your productive time thinking about what to post, how to get more people to like your posts/photos, etc.

10. Decreased or no access to facebook causes distress or impairs social, personal functioning such as wondering, mental restlessness, irritation, aggression, anger, thinking about what others might be thinking about you, etc etc.


If you have 6 or more of the above, then you have the greatest chance of being a facebook addict. Consult a professional to help you cure the same, if you want to.

Different Ways To Shutdown Your PC

There are so many different ways to turn off your Windows XP computer, let's look at some of them:

1. The standard approach - click the Start Button with your mouse, then select the Turn Off menu and finally click the Turn Off icon on the Turn Off computer dialog. blink.gif.

2. Press Ctrl+Esc key or the Win key and press u two times - the fastest approach.

3. Get the Shutdown utility from Download.com - it add the shut down shortcuts for you. Else create them yourself using approach 4.

4. Create a shutdown shortcut on your desktop. Right click on the desktop, choose New Shortcut and type shutdown -s -t 00 in the area where you are asked to specify the location of the program file. Now you can just double click this icon to turn off the computer. The best location would be your quick launch bar.

5. Press the Win key + R key to open the run window. Type shutdown -s -t 00. [s means shutdown while t means the duration after which you want to initiate the shutdown process].If some open processes or application won't let you turn off, append a -f switch to force a shut down by closing all active processes.

6. Win+M to minimize all windows and then Alt+F4 to bring the Turn Off computer dialog.

7. Open Windows Task manager (by right clicking the Windows Task bar or Alt+Ctrl+Del) and choose Shut down from the menu. Useful when the Windows are not responding.

8. open task manager--->click on shutdown--->hold the ctrl key and click on Turn off::::::: pc will be turned off in 3 secs.. fastest method other than hard shutdown.
